Brake problems

After removing and reinstalling the front wheel The break light warning started flashing
I topped of the fluid in the reservoir on the handlebar. That didn't take care of it so I topped of the reservoir for the rear break, damn thing still blinks. There is a second fill cap on the reservoir for the rear wheel, not sure whats that for \

Re: Brake problems

I think you might want to check the gap on the ABS sensor. The clearance can get knocked out-of-whack when changing the wheel.

Re: Brake problems

I haven't experienced it but from what I've read regarding brake light flashing after R&R of the front wheel you're fault could be in the ABS sensor clearance or a cut wire.
Wouldn't hurt to take a look at the front ABS speed sensor.

Re: Brake problems

Sounds like a late 2001 to 2004. There are two chambers to that rear reservoir and they both are monitored. Just open both and fill to the brim. But if this just happened after front wheel removal it could be the ABS sensor. Make sure you put the whell back on correctly, ABS ring on the left side (sitting). Then measure the gap at the widest point, it should be no greater than 0.018 to 0.022 in.

I knew it was a 2002 -2004 from your post. It always helps to include the year of your LT. Like John said make sure BOTH of the right side reservoirs next to the rear seat are full to the top. The ABS ring needs to be on the left side of the bike when you are sitting on it.

There are shims made for it that mount under the head of the abs sensor..... Is it off? Double check all of your connections/mounts on that front wheel install...
