Tying Down An '05 K1200lt

This "bluenoser" is about to take delivery of a new to me '05 LT. I will be taking possession at the US/Canadian border in N.B. on Friday. If the weather is suitable here, I will ride it home to N.S. from there. If not I will have to arrange to truck or trailer it from there. Any suggestions as to what's best? Is there anything I should be aware of? I am particularly interested in proper tie down proceedures and any special tie down equipment requirements. I read something about tie down proceedures in one of these forums some time ago. I'll be *#@#'ed if I can find it again. Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks
Austin
