Move Trunk Back

Reading here I see you can move the trunk back. How? Is the bike made with adjustment built in or do you have to modify mounting? What is the procedure? Is wiring involved? Thanks

Re: Move Trunk Back

Pretty easy to do, no mods or wiring changes needed. Just a different set of holes. Makes a lot more room for 2 up. There should be a procedure listed in the FILES, try a search there.

Re: Move Trunk Back

Info is in the owner"s manual I believe. But anyway, remove the trunk liner and there are 4 fasteners. Remove them, move the trunk back and reinstall the fasteners. Simple procedure. No wiring work required.

Re: Move Trunk Back

Just a thought, be careful when removing the little fastener that connects the lid restrainer to the side of the top case. This has to come off to remove the liner. I broke mine when I did it
