Saddle bag latch repair question

Can some one explain how the plastic handle is attached to the steel latch mechanism on an 02 LTC? On the right side bag the plastic is loose and feels like their is a spring load under it. The steel arm that extends back into the bag is not loose nor does it appear to have a damage or twisting in it. For some reason I cannot attach pictures.

TIA

Re: Saddle bag latch repair question

If you need a replacement latching assembly, can probably get you one for the price of postage. You would have to work out getting it re-keyed or installing your keyway on the assembly.

Re: Saddle bag latch repair question

One of mine was loose when we got our LT. I think there were some screws underneath that could be tightened. Hard to remember for sure, it was a few years ago.
