1,400 mile trip (AZ to NM) just got home!

The LT was flawless!

Rode all that way to New Mexico from Phoenix (via I-10 through Tucson to Las Cruces) paid a visit to Carlsbad, NM and their caverns, visited a few other places, such as the White Sands Desert and the White Sands Missile Range. Stopped by Roswell, NM but didn't see any aliens. Rode through a neat little town called Cloudcroft, NM (I believe) and Pie Town, NM too (yes... I had some pie there); I believe that's why it's called Pie Town after their pies. Stayed in Greer, AZ (highly recommend Greer Lodge in the woods near Eager and Show Low, AZ) before returning home yesterday; just in time... so that today my neighbor could back out of his driveway and knock my bike over. Hello! Any one home?

Anyway... good trip. No bad weather to speak of with the exception of some very heavy winds right before Springerville while still in NM.

Good report. I've been through that section past the radio telescopes and Pie Town and the woodsy part of AZ. Nice stretch of riding. Was thinking of going back through there this spring on my cross-country blue highway run.

The wind was blowing in Springerville?

Nothing there to stop the wind but a three wire fence.

(For those of you that have never been to Springerville it looks like the surface of Mars - except it has a few sage brush here and thar')

Boy howdy I love Greer - thinking about heading up there first thing tomorrow morning (in the cage) and getting snowed in for a couple of days with my sweetie.
