Touching up paint

I have noticed that the clear coat is started to wear off from the top of my cases on both sides of the bike. The paint has not yet suffered. Since she will be setting for the winter now can I spray a clear coat on the case and buff it out. I would have no idea of what type or brand of paint to use. I do know that BMW no longer supplies the paint for the 2003 LT. Ideas?

Re: Touching up paint

Any good body shop should be able to match the paint. My green 02 took a nap on a rough spot several years ago and the side case needed a little filler and had to be repainted. A local body shop was able to make the repairs in a day and after they were finished, it looked like new. Seems like it cost a little less than $150 and was well worth it.
