radio question

My radio will turn on and off, it will play the FM radio and CD. But I can not control the functions or adjust the volume. It will only play the station it is on and just go through the CD (I can't change the song). Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: radio question

Try a radio reset 1st before anything else.
Disconnect the battery (neg terminal) and reconnect after an hour or so. There will be a spark or two when you reconnect.

Then do this! THE TPS Reset procedure.

Re: radio question

If you don't have the patients to wait for and hour just unhook the ground and positive and touch them together. There is some sort of capacitor the holds a charge. Grounding out the system will remove this charge instantly and alow you to reset the radio without waiting.

After you reconect the battery turn on the ignition and fully open the throttle a couple of times to reset the Throttle Position sensor then turn the key off. Then you can turn the ignition back on and check the radio.

Hope this helps. These radios have lots of problems.
