Smile Looking for a Suzuki GT750K

OK, I'll admit that this is a long shot, but as this forum is mainly populated my US members, I hope nobody minds if I ask.
I will at some time in the near future, be looking out for a Suzuki GT750 "water buffalo"
I'm looking for a restoration project and in particular for the "K" model. This was the first to have front disc brakes (the "J" had TLS drums) but it was fitted with the black end cones to the pipes (subsequent models just had chrome ends)
I can arrange shipping to the UK and I am happy to pay a finders fee if the right bike comes along.
Please feel free to drop me a PM or email if anything comes up. Many thanks

Simon

I don't anything about this bike. I was just surfing Craigslist and remembered reading your post earlier. Good luck with your hunt!

Re: Looking for a Suzuki GT750K

Thanks gents, this is the later model with the fully chrome pipes and chrome side panel.
I'm looking for the K model with the black end pipes.

Re: Looking for a Suzuki GT750K

Don't forget that almost all Kettles are going to need just a *wee* bit of engine work to replace leaking crankcase seals. There are a couple of specialists in the US that can work on this engine successfully. Just make sure you have a large budget set aside for this. The good news is that once rebuilt they are probably the most dependable two stroke on the road. The radiators can be problematic as well.

But, if you're shopping for one, you already knew this!

I would ONLY buy one that has lived it's life in the desert Southwest, I'll keep an ear to the rail.
