Re: K1200LT radio

So the radio couldn't be left on, play all day/night, and kill the battery, would be my guess.

Re: K1200LT radio

Doesn't that already happen if the key is turned to "off"?

Re: K1200LT radio

I believe on my 2002 the radio runs for 60 minutes and turns off automatically!! But that is 60 minutes of battery drain!!

You are correct, it will shut itself off in 1 hour.

Re: K1200LT radio

Unless you put the key in the lock(the steering) position at which time the radio goes off immediately. Unfortunately in the ignition locked position you will not be able to use the light in the trunk to adjust your lipstick as it has no power either!

Re: K1200LT radio

I am aware the radio stays on for a short time after the ignition is turned off. What I am looking for is to have the radio turn on when I turn on the ignition, to start the bike. I ride with a group the uses the CB radio for bike to bike. A few times I forget to turn on the radio after starting the bike. The way it is is not a problem, just asking if anyone has tried this.
