clutch slips after side stand use

A few weeks back I went on a 4 day ride and on the second day I noticed my clutch slipping after a brief stop. Stopped for the night and it didn't happen again for the rest of the trip. I just got back from an overnighter this weekend and once again experienced some clutch slippage after a brief stop the first day out. Next day it was fine. The only thing I can associate it is using the side stand. I rarely use the side stand but recall it may have been used just prior to the clutch slipping in both cases. Am I dreaming or could there truly be a correlation here? Would appreciate any words of wisdom.
Thanks

Re: clutch slips after side stand use

I do not think one has anything to do with the other. I would go for a ride with the bike in 4th or 5th gear & roll HARD on the throttle to see if the clutch slips. If it does then you might have a leaking seal or slave cylinder getting the clutch wet. Also check for excess oil (wet spot) between the engine & trans.
