I am the second owner of a 05lt with 15,500 miles. The bike has performed flawlessly for the past two years since I purchased it until last week when I pulled in on the clutch after filling up with fuel and it felt like there was very little pressure. I got it into first gear and pulled the clutch again and there was no I slowly rode home in first gear for 12 miles.

The dealeship Indy says there is evidence of fluid leaking and I probably need a master cylinder and/or slave cylinder. I am not mechanical in nature so I am not sure what the master/slave cylinder does but I understand the next part...$1800.00.

Am I getting ripped off or is this a fair price....not like I have a lot of choices if I want the bike back so I can ride it before the end of the summer.

You can down load the videos for drilling the weep hole (look at the top of the thread area)and see what it takes to get to the slave cylinder. $1800 does seem a bit steep for a job that should not take more than 4 hours. Now if you are going to get a new clutch in the deal that is a reasonable amount. A leaking slave can take out the clutch with dot 4 contamination.
