Abs lite

I'm a few hundred from home and the abs lite started flashing. From a road look the sensor is clean and the brake fluid ok..My question is can I ride it home to get it fixed. It stops fine but don't want to hurt anything...thanks in advance.

Re: Abs lite

Have you determined you do not have ABS? I know my ABS motor went out on mine making my light flash, and I was in the same boat you're in 180 miles from home. I called the dealer and they said just ride it home, and remember while braking you have no ABS and the wheels will lock up on extreme braking.

Re: Abs lite

Should not be a problem Check your fluids, are they filled all the way to the top in the reservior under the seat? Is your middle brake light bulb working correctly? How is your battery? just a few things you can check that might trigger the brake warning lights.

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying " I'll try again tomorrow".
