slave cylinder just went south

Hello everyone, I need the slave cylinder and clutch replaced on my 99 lt, who can I get for the job besides the dealer THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. I'm in central ky.

I had a reply about parts entered when I looked closely at your post. Check out independent shops in your area. Search the web. There may be a facility that employs a BMW tech. If you want to undertake the job yourself, there's lots of knowledge here. Sounds like a tech session might be in order.

It is not that difficult to replace the clutch and slave cylinder. I did my 01LT this past winter. Clymer manual is a must as well as the Main Seal Replacement writeup (Kenny Crawford), the Weep Hole Drilling Procedure (Kevin Cooke) and the Weep Hole video (John Zeiler), all available on this site.

Are you sure the clutch is bad too? You don't necessarily have to do it if the slave failed but didn't contaminate the plates.
