Add oil to center stand while on the road?

I winter in an RV park in Indio, CA in the winter. As such I have limited ability to work on my bike. The center stand has a very slow leak and will be rebuilt with I get back to Oregon in the spring but I need to add hydraulic oil in the meantime. I searched through the "Hall" but could not find a post relating to this. I thought I had seen something in the past. So, can I add oil fairly simply or should I just use the sidestand until I get home.

Hey Mo,

This is the procedure I wrote up a while back. No reason you can't flush the dirty oil out and refill it. Take a read, it is pretty straight forward, shouldn't take long.

One container of "Jack Oil" should be sufficient.

Good Luck,

Joe

Joe,
Thanks for your reply. I will print your instructions and try to refill the hydraulic oil. When I get home in the spring I will rebuild the center stand up at ErnieA's garage.

Mo
