White Smoke

My bike runs great at 81k miles. As good as ever. But for as long as I can remember she blows white smoke sometimes, especially when doing a sudden acceleration or sometimes at start up. Does anyone else have this issue?

Re: White Smoke

You'll probably want to keep an eye on the oil level, however, if you are pulling up and setting onto the side stand, there is probably some amount of oil left in the skirts of the pistons. If you stop and balance the bike for 30 seconds or so before you lay it over onto the side stand it should drain while the oil is still warm. Or park it on the center stand...........The amount of oil quickly burns off as the engine warms and is usually not enough to reflect on the amount of oil usage.........try it and also, you can find some more threads on the subject here on the sight..............$ 0.02.........

Re: White Smoke

If anyone asks about the white smoke, look surprised and say "I guess they elected a new Pope!"
