Woohoo, my butt is made of iron

Day 1, 1000 miles 15hrs in the saddle.
Day 2, 1100 miles 19.5hrs in the saddle (don't ask)

Off to bed. Day 3 is gonna be short, I've almost run out of miles.

Bike is working (touch wood) but handles like a pig. I think I have a bad rear shock.

Congrats, enjoy your rest.

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying " I'll try again tomorrow".

Stock seat. Did the last stretch today, turned out to be about 350 miles I think.

Can't wait for the trip home

Stopped at J&M in Tucson on my way through, to see if we could sort out the cell phone issue. The people there are awesome friendly and helpful, alas, we were unable to get it working, so next step is to send my comms unit in for testing after I get home.

Re: Woohoo, my butt is made of iron

Congrats, I'm planning on doing an iron butt (bunn burner) ride from Northern Michigan next summer. Just don't know the route yet. I would like to ride around Lake MI but don't want to go anywhere near Chicago so I probably wont take that route.

Re: Woohoo, my butt is made of iron

Good job, especially with the stock seat. I can't get more than 100 miles out of my stock seat and can get about 150 with the AirHawk. I either gotta find a better seat or better butt.
