Unknown wire connectors

I bought my 2007 LT a month ago. While taking the tank covers off to paint some chips I found these 2 wire connectors disconnected and there doesn't seem to be anywhere I can find to plug them in. Can anyone help me identify what these are? Sorry for the crappy pics from my iphone camera. This is the left side of the bike.

Re: Unknown wire connectors

Wait for John to respond, but by my "guesstimation" I would suspect that the two wire connection is for a radar detector (power only) and the other for a GPS. Either that or the two connector is for a PTT... They changed all the underpinnings in '05, and I have a Y2K... Thats the best I can do for ya!

Re: Unknown wire connectors

I beleave that one is for the GPS and the other is for the CB. This bike is wired for many accessories and has many unused plugs.

Re: Unknown wire connectors

I would ask if you had the "prep" for BMW GPS package then these would most like be that. If you don't have the "build" sheet from BMW it is hard to tell what options (or prep for options) were installed. As long as everything you have works I would not worry about unused connectors.

Re: Unknown wire connectors

Is there a way to acquire a "build" or "prep" sheet by submitting a VIN somwhere?

Re: Unknown wire connectors

Remove stingray and make sure all plugs are connected on right side one looks like it belongs to that group.

I am not sure if these are the same, but these three are under the front left edge of the stingray on my 2007. My bike came with the VOICE II intercom and was pre-wired for both the CB and the GPS.

The middle one is the PTT switch connector (green and black wires).

I believe the other two (with brown, purple and I'm not sure what other colors) are for the front and rear headset connections, but I am not 100% sure. I was also thinking that these were three wire connectors rather than two as you state above, but I can't be sure from my picture and I am not going to tear the tupperware off my bike tonight to be sure! :-)
