Help Please

Started my 2003 1200lt and road it for about two minutes(across the street) turned it off and when I went to restart it it will not stay running. If I hold the throttle all the way open it will rumble and back fire through carbs.

Battery appears to be fully charged, bike is kept on tender. However the battery is two years old.

Re: Help Please

This sounds very much like mine when the fuel pump failed. Have you done any recent services?

Re: Help Please

Maybe you flooded it , Your bike is fuel injected . usually you don't give it any throttle or very little throttle when starting . You may get lucky , & get it to start . But , you need to pull the spark plugs out ,and clean them .

Question Re: Help Please

Noticed your thread. Have you had any luck getting the bike started since your last post?
