Just bought another bike!!

I went out yesterday and added a '04 R1150RT to go along with my LT. If one bike is good, two is better right? I have read a number of arguements about which bike is better, and being an indesisive guy, I needed both. And to answer my wife's question, Yes I am happy NOW!!

Re: Just bought another bike!!

Congrats. You better buy a battery tender or two as one of 'em is going to sit for a while. I still have not figured out how to ride two bikes at once.

Re: Just bought another bike!!

That is a good choice Brian, my what an understanding wife you have. When I got my LT the first thing my wife asked was "When are you going to sell the RT"? I keep procrastinating on that but I know it will have to go.

Re: Just bought another bike!!

You'll love the RT for the lighter duty work. My 02 has 97K on it now while the LT is used for heavy lifting and only has 84K. Wife was pretty understanding knowing that the RT was the motorcycle love of my life. That's why she didn't require me to sell it when I brought the GT home last month. I do rotate them around so the oil doesn't coagulate and the batteries stay charged. I figure if I have to start putting battery tenders on the Odyssey battery then I'm not riding enough.

You'll love the RT as long as you don't ride a 1300 GT. It will make you

Re: Just bought another bike!!

On Saturday my wife and I took a ride on the LT to lake in the mountains. We brought a picnic and enjoyed a very beautiful ride home. On Sunday I went out for a ride by myself, on the RT, on a tight twisty mountain road. I loved both rides and I think I can keep both batteries charged, atleast until the snow flies.
Gotta go now, I have to run to a parts place in another town and I now have to plan extra time for standing in the garage deciding.
