CD Changer not working

Hi all,
My radio/cd display is showing a message " No Discs" when I attempt to use it.
The cassette cartridge has 6 cds in it and when it is inserted it clicks and whirs as it checks each cartridge insert but the display still shows no discs found.
Any ideas?

Re: CD Changer not working

I had that same problem with mine several years ago,and what I discovered was the lens was dirty. Got a CD disc cleaner at Best Buys and it worked find after that. As an aside, a month or two after that I took the CD changer out, and replaced it with a DIce unit, and now just play my IPod via the Dice unit. Works much much better. Plus it give you more room in that saddle bag.

Talking Re: CD Changer not working

If this is the first time you've tried to play a cd since a battery disconnect, then you need to press the cd button on the radio a second time then it will play if all else is OK. Cleaning , as mentioned above, can also be the trouble although I haven't cleaned mine and use it dailey since I bought the bike 4 years ago
Good luck.
At least that's how it works on my '03 LT.

Bought used K1200LT number 3. This one is green/teal with 31,369(now 7/29/2018 54,143) miles and is an '02. The first 2 bikes made it to near 150,000 miles.

Due to heart health, the Dr says not to ride under 40 degree air temp. Ugh! Now it is harder to get my 18000 miles a year in just in the summer. Guess that stopped my 20 degree rides now.
