Dash Light Question

I been peforming the 24K service on my 2005 LT.

I put it all back together. Maybe I am losing it, but it appears my dash light does not come on all the time. I started it up on the garage and notice there is no dash light. After turning it off and on a few times, it started to work.

Any ideas?

This never happened before, at least I do not beleive it did.

Re: Dash Light Question

If you are speaking about the white light assembly above the dash, there is a three position switch. On, Off and Auto. In Auto it comes on after you shut off the key for about 30 seconds. I just leave mine off all the time.

Re: Dash Light Question

I am referring to the back light for the entire dash assembly.

I recall it being on all the time. There must be a sensor for this. Any idea where it is located?

Smile Re: Dash Light Question

They are on a photo sensor next to the the clock mode text, just below it on the left side of the fuel gauge.....
