Side Stand Play

I went to grease my side stand and noticed some vertical play in it when it's in the down position. I'm pretty sure this is normal sice my RT and Yamaha have some too. Comments?

Also, kudos to the BMW engineers for the grease port. Too bad they didn't do the same with the center stand pivot points.

Re: Side Stand Play

Yes, mine has noticeable play as well.

And yes, I agree that the centerstand could use some grease ports: I was under my bike just last night, spraying lubricant on the stand pivot.

You really need to pull the pivots as they are sealed with two o-rings per so the spray is a placebo unless they are gone.
