Question Need electrical advice please

Hi Everyone,

I just came back from a trip to Key West. During my trip, I had my heated gear plugged in the front socket of my 2005 LT. On the second day, the gear stopped working. So did the windshield adjustment. I checked my manual for fuse information and found that the front socket and the windshield are on the same fuse. Easy fix I thought.

After changing the fuse no improvement, the front socket and the windshield still don't work.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanx

Did you change out the right fuse? The original manual had the legend for the fuse boxes backwards. Fuse box 1 is the out board one and fuse box 2 is the inboard (near the seat latch) one. The fuse you want is in the outboard fuse box and it is a 15 A fuse in position 1.

If this did not fix it and the original fuse was blown I suspect a bad connection at the fuse box or at a tie point farther along in the harness.

Guys, I didn't see what year this bike was.. so there are 2 different options for the number of fuse blocks a and location .. 05 and up.. or earlier.. review these documents for either ..
