will 05 rear shock fit earlier model like a 99?

will an 05 rear shock fit an earlier model like an 1999?

Is there a large difference can it me easliy modded to fit an earlier model.

I am looking to install a wilbers, works, or Ohlin shock?

Most used shocks I am able to find are from 05 or later models.

Thanks

Yes it will. I know when moving shocks from up form my 99, 02 and 05 LTs, on the 05 I had to grind away a very small amount of material on the frame under the top mount point to get the bolt holes aligned, but going the other way should be no problem.

Thanks for the information, as usual I went to buy a rear Ohlin shock and I was too late

Here's one on eBay, and not too bad a price for a new one. Have him send you a pick of the real one if you pursue it, the one in the ad is not for the LT.
