Hey, Robert - in addition to several replies you'll be getting, ping Steve (katnapinn) and ax him how he's done the 4 or 5 systems for folks here in Tejas. And most of 'em were on the earlier systems, I'm sure. He's the go-to brake line changer for us. Good luck.
You will not loose much fluid from the ABS unit, just the fluid that is in the lines. Just use a vacuum pump to pull the fluid threw the lines till you get ALL air out. Hook it up to the calipers and just watch your fluid levels at the master cylinders. Here is what I use.
There is a very small volume of fluid in the ABS unit, maybe a thimble full or two. It just looks big. I would just let everything drain and dump in fresh when you are done. It should be pretty straight forward.
The two little cylindrical things in the unit center photo are what holds fluid.

Bought one of these at Harbor freight today... 19.99..... also bought the belt type filter type wrench sets there too today also on sale for 4.99 ... (for the gas tank cap).. just fyi
I replaced the ABS unit at the same time as the Spieglers, assume it came with air in it.
No issues with just speed bleeders on the calipers and standard ports on the ABS.
I think the Clymers has a defined order on which ports first, but if I remember correctly, it is just start with the bleed port closest to the master cylinder (ABS unit) and work your way out to the farthest(which is the port opposite the line on the caliper).
