DA Question (Not Dumb A**)

Since joining the esteemed DA club, I have pondered with the idea of additional protection for the pannier trim. I have placed the rubber strips on the trim pieces, only to find that the damage also occurs to the lower part not protected. I can move the strips down I guess, or could I de-chrome the piece and apply a Rhino liner like protectant to the piece? Since most of my events have happened at low or no speed the damage is mostly trim against hard surface, not abraiding force. I know that it will dump again, just don't like to see the chrome chipped. My bike color is dark graphite so something like Rhino liner would look
nice. Just wondering if anyone has tried this.

At least I thought I was dancing, til someone stepped on my tongue.

Re: DA Question (Not Dumb A**)

Have those mounted, maybe they should be lower on the trim. Or maybe something that wraps around the chrome piece protecting the the lower edge might work. Any ideas?
