thanks to help from Pastor Jack, we painted the calipers and finished up the final servicing needs before heading out to CCR.

Used red caliper paint from Auto Zone, took the calipers off the rotors, taped the surrounding area off, took the brake pads off, pushed the pistons back, taped the speigler lines, cleaned the calipers with brake cleaner and then blew them well with the air hose and then painted them. If you put a very light coat of oil on the BMW on the caliper and paint over it, when the paint dries you can rub the paint off the BMW with an old rag.
All in all took about 3 hours to complete, giving the calipers time to dry sufficiently so as to not smudge them up .

I like the way the calipers turned out. Should help you find yours in a sea of LT's in a few weeks.
