Black exhaust ring on the garage floor?

Just took a spin on the LT and noticed after rev'n the bike a couple times on the center stand she left a heavy 12 inch area of exhaust dust on the garage floor. I never noticed this before but I have seen the ring on the floor in the past and never put two and two together. Also have a heavy smell of exhaust fumes in the garage after my return.
What has me stumped is the bike has always been kept on the center stand but maybe once or twice all these years. The bike only has 5K on it and tender miles at that.???
Is this normal? A problem?? Bike runs PERFECT otherwise..?
Any help sure will be appreciated.

O2 Sensor

Run it hard (high RPM's) on occasion
Check to see if there is a mileage drop

If it persists you may be a candidate for a new O2 sensor . . .

Normal......The computer keeps the LT pretty rich most of the time.

Especially at startup...

+2 on what John said. Both of my LTs are/were ridden on daily basis. The soot ring on the floor is pretty much standard. Will even do it at an idle.

I'm trying to save on paint by doing my whole garage floor with the soot ring. Chuck
