Has anyone figured out how to...

add an audio tap into the the GPS input on the Voice II system?

Are you asking to add more then one audio source to the 3.5mm AUX input jack on the Voice II system? if so I used a splitter

Well, that's one option, and probably the easiest.

In another thread someone talked about adding a "Y" into the monaural input of the GPS to hook a radar detector to. I'm just curious if anyone has figured out how to do it.

Ahh ok I have the Zumo 550 which to my knowledge doesn't have an input so that was the only option. I'm feeding the zumo w/XM and I-pod into the Aux port on the voice II system works well.

HERE is a link for a simple resistive audio combiner. It just requires two 10k Ohm resistors. Of course there is always the possible issue of an audio ground loop any time you tie multiple audio inputs together. If you end up with noise problems you will likely need to install a ground loop isolator on one of the audio inputs.
