r1100C

I recently found a gentlemen who was selling his r1100C for a undisclosed amount. After doing some research, I found that the max allowable weight is around 1300 pounds. Is it a reliable bike for 2-up riding. My girlfriend and I aren't that heavy, but I am looking to have a alternate bike to ride with my LT!

Re: r1100C

Do you mean R 1200 C? Yes it is a very reliable bike with the classic boxer engine. As for two up riding, the CL is quite comfortable (even if no comparision to the LT). Some of the other models of the R 1200 C (such as the Classic) come with only a small pillon pad that swivels up to serve as the rider back rest when solo or swings down as the pillion pad for 2-up. I would not think that it would be very comfortable for long. Find everything yiou want to know about the R 1200 C series at chromeheads.org

Re: r1100C

The C's are great two up bikes. Just as comfortable as the LT in my opinion...
And I've owned both... Kept the CLC cause it's so cool....

If you're talking about a Rockster, That's still a great bike as well..
