Question C.B. Problem

I have the JMCB 2003 installed on my 2006 LT and has been working fine until a trip with some friends developed. I can hear all the other riders fine but they say when talk to them when is jumbled. Can the push to talk button go bad? Has anyone had this problem ?

Thanks Tim

Re: C.B. Problem

Could be the antenna to coax connection is a bit corroded, or ground connection quality has degraded...and not making as good of contact as before. Might check those things first...since it was working fine before.

I wish I could think of clever things to say in my signature.

Re: C.B. Problem

I had a similar issue on my CB install. Check all voice/mic connections from/to the CB; I had the start of corrosion that cleared up after seating/reseating a few times. I applied dielectric grease on the bottom of the connections after cleaning them.

Hope this helps,
Curt
