Stange brake light behavior-probably stuck relay

The brake light is doing a couple of strange things.
1. It will stay on after the bike is turned off. But fortunately only for about 5 minutes then it goes off.
2. While riding it will stay lit as if the brake is applied.
3. Will not light up at all, just the running lights stay lit, no brake light
4. Occasionally it works correctly during a ride according to other riders I'm with.

It does not matter which lever I use. Front brake or rear brake......I never know for sure what is going to happen with these lights. Not a good feeling
Any thoughts????
NEVER MIND------------It looks like I found my solution. I should have used the search function. I guess I'll need to get into the elec. box and change out the brake relay.

It sounds like a stuck relay. Unfortunately, it is located under the fuel tank.

Yep, sounds like the relay. Other than being under the tank it's an easy, relatively inexpensive fix. While you're under there you might want to upgrade your starter relay if you haven't already.
