Identity Crisis..

Welp, I was playing here on the puter and ran my vin# to see what I'd get...
What I got was two listings :1 K1200LT, 2 K1200LT-M...
Can anyone please tell me what the M stands for? Thats what my vin says I have.....TIA..............Regards Pete

The LT-M designation is for the 2005 and newer models (more power, hydraulic center stand, etc.). They're really '04 and up, but the marketing people got involved and messed up the numbers.

But if you want, you can just think of it like the M-series performance cars.

as I understand it!

The 05 LT as we know it in North America arrived some time after it was put on sale in Europe. Over there they brought out the 2004 K1200LT and shortly after BMW introduced what we know as the revised 05. Over there they still referred to the bike as a 2004 model with the suffix added; FL (face lift) or 04 K1200LTM (modified)
