Unhappy Had to sell the bike

I'm feeling awful today. Due to money worries, I've had to sell my '05 LT.
I was so looking forward to meeting up with other owners at the UK Treffen, but it seems it'll have to be another year.
For me, the LT is the best bike in the world bar none, and as soon as I can justify it, I'll be back with another LT, still sad though.........

Re: Had to sell the bike

I wasn't sure if I should feel sorry. If the cars in your picture belong to you, then you must be doing okay.

I am in the same situation. Due to a recent job loss, I am feeling the money pressure as well. I've been debating whether to sell the car or the bike when/if the time comes. Right now, I'm leaning toward selling a car, but I may regret it in the winter if I haven't found a job by then.

Eventually, the economy will recover and you will get the opportunity to write the forum with all of the details of the new bike. Hang in there.

Re: Had to sell the bike

Why do you need a bike to go to UK Treffen? You're still a rider sans ride right?

Good point Steve!

This group (on both sides of the "pond") is more about people than their mode of transportation.

Re: Had to sell the bike

Hi,

you can still come to the Treffen, even if it's to share a beer, BBQ and a bit of a chat. Yup, you might miss the rideout, but is everyone 2 up, You might get a lift if you don't mind being a pillion for the day.

Think about it at least, anyone going to the Treffen solo? and can offer a pillion if he wants one for the rideout?

Re: Had to sell the bike

Simon, I am sorry to hear of your worries. We often read of life's calamities, and they are a shame - but not a real problem, because they happen to "someone else". Someone else's house get flooded, house burned, hit by an earthquake, etc.

Well, I know your worries, because last September, I lost my job, with absolutely no warning. I understand completely what you are going through. Now I can relate with empathy.

All I can say is, while it may suck for a while (I can't afford CCR this year), things will work out! Don't worry about the material things.
