Anyone have the tupperware off?

Hi

I have just upgraded the throttle cables (what a difference) but during the process the metal section in the cruise control cable disintegrated. I have bodged up a replacement but I do not think I have the correct length.

If some one has the tupperware of could they please tell me what length the metal section is - I would be most grateful.

Regards

Mine's off now, including the gas tank. Lucky you, unlucky me.

I'll go look, and get back with you.

Re: Anyone have the tupperware off?

Graham,
My metal section is 2.980" long. There is a .070" gap between the knurled screw and the metal section. See attached .pdf file for checking cruise control functionality - it works. I had the same problem when I replaced my throttle cables and Bowden cable (cruise control) due to an engine fire.

PM me if you need a picture.

Dave

Dave

Thank you very much for your time and help. Does that length include or exclude the adjuster? I still have the adjuster and only need to replicate the body.

Sorry for any confusion and thanks again for your help.

Re: Anyone have the tupperware off?

That length dimension is body only.
