What kind of Radio is this?

Hi ; Sorry if this is in the wrong area.

What kind of radio does the 08 and 09 LT have? Is there a serial number, does it have an amplifier, or is it one piece unit?

I'm really trying to find out if it has some form of pre-amp out on it?

I've already figured out the 'inbound sound' part, and now I'm trying to see how I can route the sound outbound...;-)

Thanks so much

David

Re: What kind of Radio is this?

There is but it is a waist of time as there is no control over Bass and Treble and I found it noisey. I ended up tapping into the speaker leads for better audio.

The radio has a main unit (single CD and the Amps/RF section) and a controller (under the push buttons) as well as the Ibus driven display in the dash. Made by Becker
But here are the pinouts from the small connector at the back of the main unit:

1 AUX audio out, right channel

2 NC

3 AUX out Gnd

4 -- audio ground
5 NC

6 AUX audio out, left channel

7 -- power ground
8 -- AUX audio in, right channel
9 -- AUX audio in, left channel
10 -- +12V power -- controlled by radio ON button

You can build a tie in from a standard double row 0.100 header socket. The pins are numbered on the radio connector. This is the port that the VOICE II interfaces into the radio with so fif you have that this is occupied.
