Zumo through the speakers?

Quick question:

If I'm installing a zumo on a stock 09 LT, can the Zumo sound be routed out the speakers?

Thanks

David

Zumo through the speakers?

As far as I have found out, you should go to the Zumo site to ask this type of question. There you will probably get your answer.

Cheers,

Re: Zumo through the speakers?

I've not heard of a way to pipe the sound to the speakers without running the audio into the onboard stereo itself.

If your onboard stereo has an auxiliary input jack in the "oddments box", then you can run a standard 1/8" stereo cable from the audio output jack on the Zumo cradle to that jack. Of course, you won't be able to hear the voice prompts from the Zumo (or any other audio signals like MP3 or XM) unless you have your stereo set on Aux (ie while listening to AM/FM or the CD player).

If your bike did not come with the aux input jack, you can add it. BMW makes a cable that plugs into the rear of the radio unit; the jack is on the other end. It has been discussed on the list many times if you want to run a search, or ask your dealer.

Run the Zumo output through the aux input jack, if you do not have one see other threads for how to install one( aux input jack). Kieth

Re: Zumo through the speakers?

Check to see if it will work. The 1/8" input jack on my LT is only good through the headphones. It will not function through the main speakers. I play my Ipod through the cassette player with an adapter that replaces a cassette. It works fine that way.

the bluetooth sound quality made me think my ears are far worse than I ever imagined.
