Headlight fittment

Will the 2005 headlight assembly fit a 1999LT? I know it is a lowbeam only. If it will not fit, is the front tupperware interchangeable?

Re: Headlight fittment

Matthew,

my wild guess is that at least the front tupperware should be interchangeable. I have no personal experience, though. My reasoning is that why would the factory have changed the inside steel brackets etc. so I think the fastening points are still the same.

As far the headlight goes, the old one was glass and the new one is plastic. The shape that you can see from outside is the same but how is the inside fitments, I don't know...

Of course changing the total nose cone would give you the "new bike" look, but how about the color match, would it need to be painted?

Perhaps somebody with 100% facts will chime in...
