Getting a new LT next week

I'm very excited to be joining the club. Some unfortunate accident totalled my RT, so I've decided to move up to the LT.

My riding style is long distance, and I've a BB under my belt, but I am looking forward to doing some serious highway and backroad riding this year.

As part of my negotiated deal on purchasing the LT, I'm going to be installing my many farkles to the new bike, including garman 550, autocom, radar, etc. I've been searching high and low for mirror mounting frames that face front that will hold an HID, and also very interested in the Dice IPOD adaptor. Other than that, I'll most likely farckle up slowely.

Id appreciate some advice on this open thread in the lighting asking the question: "What would you do for lighting if you had a clean start on an 09 with xenon. " ;-)

Either way, I do hope to be part of the community over the coming months.

Dave

Congrata Dave: I ride very little at night but I have heard praise for the "Cross-Country" PIAA lighting system. Enjoy the Hill Country on the new ride!

Dittos on the PIAAs. Go with the cowl mounts. Nice and clean.

I put the Rider West LED reflector kit and brake light flasher on my '06 and like them a lot. Adds to your rear and side "seeability". Look under "safety" on the www.motogear4you.com/ site.

Gongrats Dave for your new bike!

If you want some farkle and light ideas, you might want to check this album:

I have a total of four Xenons and four halogens and now the oncoming truckers turn off their roof mounted driving lights at two miles distance..

I like the Dice but if you don't have the CD changer, you'll have to buy the wire harness and I think it's pretty expensive.
