Exclamation Will a 2007 FD fit the 2005 LT??

Hi all;

With all the paranoia ( now I am starting) I want to know if a 2007 FD fit the 2005 LT ??

I am looking at maybe getting one for a spare and I heard that someone just tricked his 2007 LT( 700 miles) in Ontario and I might have a shot at getting this one. Price has not been discussed yet, what would be a good price to pay for a complete FD??

Yes, it fits. As far as prices are concerned I have seen them around 400 -500 USD.

Re: Will a 2007 FD fit the 2005 LT??

I gave 465 to the door for mine. It had come off an 08 trike. It had 8 miles on it and looked as new.

Now of course with all the hysteria of FD failures they are far and few between and I would expect cost to go up also.

I bought mine 2 months after buying the bike because I feed into the hysteria. I will not give it up for anything now as I feel it is a selling feature should I choose to move on from BMW and I want to make sure I have it if anything does go south while out on the road.

You may want to see what some of the forum members would charge you for a rebuild and weigh that against the cost of a FD with no heritage you can trace, and still may suffer from failure because of sloppy assembly from BMW.
