Garman 550 and Autocom

Farkling up the ride before spring and will be installing a 550 in the near future. Can anyone tell me what cables I would need to connect it, a cell phone and IPOD in to the autocom system? From what I understand the phone and ipod would go thru GPS unit. Is this correct? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Garman 550 and Autocom

You will need the 550 & Ipod interface cables and a splitter to plug the two cables into 1 of the Autocom port if you are using the other port for the radio. Use the Blue tooth in the 550 for your phone. The Autocom web site does not give all the details but and Autocom dealer will have their catalog, that will give you all the numbers.

I just did mine a couple of months ago and it worked great. Sorry I could not provide the part numbers but the web site is next to useless where the dealer catalog provides the needed information. Good luck
