Well I finally got pissed off enough to remove the radio and now I'm trying to figure out how to put in a marine radio in its place? I can get a good radio with the Ipod plug built in, CD and weather band for $150. It looks like I can leave the intercom in but not working. Never needed it anyway. I just need to figure out what wires are for the speakers. Looks like a good week-end project seeing as it's freezing cold and I can't ride anyway. I'll let you know what happens. Any advice for anyone???

Re: Radio

Thanks. I got it figured out. Have the speaker wires ready. Power will come from the same power wires as before. I have to run another power and ground for the GPS because it hooked into the radio some how. Couldn't stand the cold any longer so I'll do more tomorrow. I need a heater in my shop......The bike is a 2002 LTE. The intercom want work any longer but I've never used it. My wife said we didn't need it. There is a 00.50 draw on the wires for the power with the key off though? It's hooked through some kind of relay that mounts under the rear seat. There are 3 of them and the power for the radio is coming from one. I don't know what the others are. All radio operations will have to be done from inside the oddments box but I can handle that. I plan to mount my Ipod inside there. Hopefully that will be the only draw back to it.
