On-board Computer Problem Help

I just did the speedo fix and when I put things back together the on-board computer does not work. It was up pluged, but now is pluged back into sensor. Front lower part of fairing.
This is how it reads out.

-22 F (F flashes 7 times than stays on) Temp in garage is 68
MPG ---
arrow M 148 (gas tank is full)
MPH ---

Any idea what I did wrong and or how to fix it?

Jim,

The Temp problem:
(Had this happen too.)
Apparently, when the sensor is unplugged, the temp display "averages" down over "time?" Give it a couple days and it will "heal" itself.

The MPG problem:
SWAG
Maybe unplugging the unit confuses it and it needs fresh data to adjust the figure and going for a ride or two would let it recalculate. I don't think I'd worry too much until after a few miles.

Good Luck

Duane

Thanks Duane
You had it figured out.
The temp is up to 61 and the F is not flashing anymore.

Glad the unit reset itself for you.

BTW, the flashing F is an Ice Warning. The F flashes when the temp gets near freezing (37 degrees, I think).

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
