Re: "no radio" message

Make sure you put the right fuse in there... because once you let the "smoke" out it will probably never be the same.

Re: "no radio" message

I have the same problem with mine. I don't believe it is the fuse mine will work for awhile then get the no radio message this will happen for a few days then it will start working again for maybe weeks then go out again. I have not found any loose connections but it did get much better when I installed a new battery. I know that it does not seem feasible but it seems if the battery is at all in a weakened state the radio starts to act weird. Just a thought if nothing else I feel your frustration.

Re: "no radio" message

I've had that happen several times on my '02. I've always traced it to water getting into the radio control element, the thing with the buttons and display. It dried out on it own a couple of times, but finally quit. Dissassembly and cleaning of the circuit board with a Q-tip, electrical contact cleaner, and dielectric grease helped for a while.

Ultimately, the fader failed, and I replaced the control element with a used one--and make sure to cover it when it looks like rain.

IIRC the fuse in back of the radio is 10 amp.

Re: "no radio" message

Had the same issue with mine and it was the fuse in the radio - not a fun job to replace.
