Interesting phenomenon with modulating headlight

I installed a modulating headlight and have experienced (twice) an interesting phenomenon. It seems that when I am traving somewhat slow in traffic, the modulating headlight has been mistaken by cars turning left in front of me as a signal to "go ahead" and turn. Apparently, they are mistaking the headlight modulation as me flashing my headlights to procede.

This (as you might imagine) is quite disturbing. I do like the added visibility, however, I am second thinking the relative safety (visibility) trade off for the disasterous results this "phenomenon" may have on my Karma!

Anyone else experience this?

Joe

I think it falls more under "Cager turns left in front of motorcycle despite motorcyclist's effort to increase visibility."

Prof.. nope.. I don't have that because of that reason... also, can't "pulse" HID's very reliably..

I'd say your best defense is a good defensive offense... don't trust 'em.. you ARE invisible.
