Good service Centers

just got a '02 K1200LT w/ 9K mi.
was wondering if there's anyone on this forum near Lancaster,Pa.,
who know of a good place to go for service.
have heard a few bad comments about a local BMW dealer.

Re: Good service Centers

You might want to try Hermy's, Port Clinton Pa. One mile north on PA 61 from I 78

Did you scan here?

Re: Good service Centers

Its a ways away from you, but you might consider Bobs down in suburban DC.

Re: Good service Centers - service

Trans-Am BMW (and a few other makes) in Lititz, PA! Ask for Charlie in service (one of the owners). He will treat you, and your bike, right.

Not only do I take my LT there, I take my Honda there too. Prices have been lower at Trans-Am than what Planet Honda charges in West Chester. Plus a good excuse for a ride.

I have had mixed results with Trans-Am sales people (on weekends only) and the guys at the back parts counter. In those cases, I have once asked for info on J&R or BMW headsets (since I have a Voice II system but never got the headsets) and they knew nothing and were not ready to look anything up.

Another time, I asked for BMW spline lube and the parts guys said off the top of their head they did not have any. I told Charlie this and he rolls his eyes and says, yeah we have that... those guys are getting lazy... and he give me a minute. He comes back and says the tube is on the counter in parts. I go and sure enough, it's there.

While I was waiting for new tires to be mounted (on my Honda), I was looking at the new bikes. One of the sales guys was reading the newspaper by the door and eventually he asked if I had any questions. I said I have lots of questions. He says, "...about motorcycles" And I replied yes I do. He went back to the newspaper. I told Charlie about that too. Seems like they are not willing to take my money!

I say this because that although my experience with their parts and sales dept. has been less than stellar, I really like their service and think you may want to give them a try.
