OH my god what have i done now

well yesterday was fun, i stripped the LTs tupperware off to do the solanoid that was keeping the brake lights on and while it was in bits i did the HID light conversion. all good until i came to do the stereo, put a new head unit in with the BMW adapter yeharr works then bolted the whole shabang back together, now this is where i've discovered my problem. When you turn the radio on you get "No Radio" flashing on the screen even though the radio's playing this goes on for about a minute before it turns itself off (about 10 flashes of the "no Radio" warning. Does anyone have any ideas whats going on and how i can bypass this, the screen needs to be plugged in otherwise no power goes to the head unit. Is there a magic button pressing session

the other big issue i've got is when you move the bike about in first gear after a while engaging and disengaging the clutch the feel goes compleatly and the bite point moves from nearly fully out to still engaged with the leaver against the bar, today on the way too work the clutch started to slip quite badley until after one overtake wringing its neck and getting loads of slip it suddenly returned to normal I think as i've only had it two weeks the shop can sort this one as i recon it could be a "BIGGY" type job.

COR wishing i'd kept my GS1200ADV now

Sorry English is not my mother tongue so I have to ask some clarification...
"..to do the stereo, put a new head unit in with the BMW adapter yeharr works then bolted the whole shabang back together.." does not quite open to me. What head unit did you install? A new radio or what?

While waiting for your answer I can tell you that I had once a smilar issue. In my case the problem maker turned out to be the NeoProLink iPod interface unit. This unit hooks up to the CD-changer harness and as soon as I disconnected (and connected back in) it my radio started working. I suppose you have already had you battery disconnected for quite a long time (1/2 hour) as this seems to be a magic fix to many radio problems.

Ari is close - There is a controller and a head assy for the radio. If you changed out the head (single CD or Tape) - it may not have been a comaptible unit for the controller (under the buttons). There are software versions that will not work together.
