Rain....seat puddle....ideas???

I know I'm not the only one here that has has this problem.

When riding the awesome K1200LT in the rain we all know while moving we can pretty much stay dry with only spots (shoes, and pant legs) getting wet.

My question to you: The seat puddles right between my legs in the crotch area. Is there anything I can do to avoid/prevent this?

I do not wear full rain gear here in Florida because the showers are mostly short and I usually can drive out of them within 15 min. Most of my riding is commuting to work.

Thank you for your advice!

Thank you Jer!
I had thought about Air-Hawk. But bead rider sounds good too. Where to get the Bead-rider and how much?

Re: Rain....seat puddle....ideas???

You can also cut down a beaded car seat, then attach it with paracord, rope, velcro, etc.

I don't use the one I made anymore, so if you're ever up in Gainesville drop by and it's yours.

Cheers,

Adam

Re: Rain....seat puddle....ideas???

Just drill a drain hole in the seat!!!

Seriously why not try an "apron" or "bib" approach. Some thing water proof that would attach to the underside of the front of the seat (velcro) and tie around your waist. Might look a little funky going down the road but I bet it would work.

+1 on the bead rider. the rain has a place to go. I've been in several good rains with and without, and I gotta say its better to have them in the rain.
