i recently removed my nosecone to replace both my headlight bulbs (much brighter now). i know that it is not necessary but i wanted to see how the whole front end goes together.

anyway ... got it all buttoned up just fine, but when i reinstalled my mirrors they no longer fit properly. the bodywork is somehow askew, and the bodywork of the fairing fouls the "bodywork" of the mirrors.

i shimmed the mirror mounts to move them out a bit but this is stopgap.

can anyone tell me what i did wrong? everything appears to be ed zachary where it should be. are the mirror mounts different? they look identical.

Did you forget the two screws on each side at the bottom of the nose cone behind the upper body panel? If not, you can adjust the nose cone placement by loosening the screws and moving the fairing and then retightening once you get the mirrors lined up.

i DID have two screws left over. that must be it. will these screws help align everything properly for the mirrors?

Very possible if they are the ones I am thinking of.
