Great Experience with PIAA Corp
Recently, one of my PIAA driving lights burned out. I called CycleGadgets and they couldn't sell me a bulb without the model number. So, I called PIAA direct.
I talked to a customer service rep and explained that I bought the LT used with the PIAAs installed already and that I needed a bulb. She talked me through identifing the model for the lamp, and then the model number of the bulb. Only problem is that the bulb is discontinued! I asked her what I should do now. She told me that since they can't supply a replacement bulb, they are sending me a new set of lights that use standard driving light bulbs (H something). New lights for free? WOW! I hung up the phone completely speechless.
After I regained my composure and picked up my chin off the floor, I called my wife and told her what just happened. She reminded me that we're heading to the Dells Rally this weekend and that I should call them and offer to pay for air shipping so the lights could be installed before we leave. So I called back, credit card in hand, and asked if I could pay for overnight or 2nd day air. She told me that they would certainly be able to send them UPS blue label so I could have them by the time we leave. I asked how much? She said, "We're not really set up to take credit cards for shipping, so I'm just sending them along free of charge." New lights for FREE, 2nd day air for free? I can't belive my ears!
Anyway, I'm SOLD ON PIAA! In a rapidly declining customer service world, it's a PLEASURE to see a company that goes the extra mile!
So, everyone, BUY PIAA!
